Understanding the 1% Sales Tax Election
In March, Wichita voters will decide on a 1-percent sales tax that would generate an estimated $850 million for city investments. The proposal includes funding for Century II, a convention center expansion, a new performing arts center, public safety capital improvements, homelessness services and affordable housing, and property tax relief. We’ll provide facts, outline what is being proposed, and help voters understand the details ahead of the election.
