Participants:
This leadership forum is appropriate for nonprofit agency executive directors, board members, administrative staff, and other leaders in the nonprofit sector.
Facilitator:
Susan Whitfield-Lungren is an attorney with more than 20 years of experience counseling and assisting nonprofit organizations throughout Kansas. Her areas of expertise include tax-exempt recognition compliance, unrelated business income and other federal and state tax issues, and lobbying and political restrictions.
Highlights:
- Good Governance - the IRS's definition
- Maintenance of optimum transparency while carrying out your mission
- Developing alternative revenue/funding sources without jeopardizing tax exempt status
- Compliance concerns in mergers, partnerships, joint ventures and other collaborations

Registrations are also accepted online at the "workshop" link on the Mainstream Inc., website at www.mainstreaminc.net. Enrollment is limited so please register early. Special accommodations should be requested by July 15th. Potential walk-ins should call for possible schedule changes and seating availability.
Registration begins at 9:30am, lunch will be provided.
Fees:
Cost: $15 per person for members
$25 per person for non members
Registration fees includes program materials and lunch, Cancelations received by Tuesday, July 27th, prior to 5pm are refundable (less a $5 per person processing fee). After Tuesday, July 27th, refunds will not be made. A substitution of participant(s) attending this forum can be made at any time.
