| NetWork Kansas Facilitates Launch of Economic Gardening Pilot Program Posted on 06/22/2010 Wichita, Kansas, June 16, 2010 - NetWork Kansas announced today that it will coordinate and provide matching funds for the launch of an Economic Gardening pilot program for businesses in rural communities throughout Kansas. In addition to existing NetWork Kansas funds, NetWork Kansas also received a $50,000 Rural Business Enterprise Grant from USDA Rural Development to help fund the pilot program.

| Funding from Thomas County Entrepreneurship (E-) Community Helps Entrepreneur Launch New Business Posted on 03/01/2010 Thomas County Economic Development Alliance, one of 20 designated NetWork Kansas E-Communities, has awarded an E-Community loan package to Smoffees Café, a startup business in downtown Colby, Kansas. Shawn and Mary Larson, co-owners and founders of the business, expect to open the new café’s doors before the end of March, 2010. Utilizing matching funds raised locally through the Kansas Entrepreneurship Tax Credit Program, Thomas County Economic Development Alliance was able to provide the capital the Larsons needed for the new business.
