Steve Radley, Director sradley@networkkansas.com, 316-218-6304 The founding director of the Kansas Center for Entrepreneurship, Steve began his career in the private sector as the 28th employee of a business startup technology company, Brite Voice Systems, in Wichita. The company grew from $6 million to more than $175 million during the nine years Steve worked for Kansas entrepreneur Stan Brannan. Since then, Steve has co-owned two businesses, including a manufactured housing dealership that was sold to the largest manufacturer in the country, Champion Enterprises. Steve's work experience centers on business development and taking products and businesses from startup to maturity.
Steve has an MBA from the W. Frank Barton School of Business at Wichita State University and a BA in Journalism from the University of Oklahoma. Steve also received an MA in Christian Ministry from Friends University. Kansas born, Steve and his family own farms in Greenwood and Woodson Counties.
Erik Pedersen, Operations Manager epedersen@networkkansas.com, 316-978-7310 As operations manager, Erik is responsible for the daily affairs of NetWork Kansas' intake center. Erik's work experience focuses on the overall operation and management of fast growing businesses and organizations. Erik began his career in 1990 when he went to work for a Wichita-based technology startup company, Brite Voice Systems, which was founded by Stan Brannan. At Brite Voice, Erik worked in marketing and business development. In 1997, Erik left Brite Voice to start a manufactured housing dealership with Steve Radley, Director of the Kansas Center for Entrepreneurship. The business was later sold to the largest manufacturer in the country, Champion Enterprises, and Erik remained with Champion as General Manager until May, 2005. A lifelong resident of Wichita, Erik graduated from Friends University in 1988 with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration.
Laurie Gooding, Marketing Manager lgooding@networkkansas.com, 316-218-6305 A senior marketing professional, Laurie has held numerous positions in corporate and product marketing, business planning, market research and industry analysis. Her career began in 1988 at Brite Voice Systems, a Wichita-based telecom technology startup company. After spending 18 years working for several different technology companies in Boston, Chicago and Phoenix, Laurie returned to her native Kansas and joined NetWork Kansas in 2007 to spearhead its marketing efforts. She has been published and quoted extensively in leading business and trade publications, including Business Week, Electronic News and The Wall Street Journal. Laurie graduated summa cum laude from Friends University with a BA in international communications, a minor in Spanish and a second degree in language and literature.
John Paul Gendron, Product Manager, Expertise jpgendron@networkkansas.com , 316-978-7319 John began working with NetWork Kansas in December '05. Since launch in March '06 JP has served as a Counselor, Product Manager, Biz-Trakker-Client Management Software and is now the Product Manager, Expertise overseeing the Resource Specialists and Counselors. Mr. Gendron graduated from Wichita State University with degrees in Entrepreneurship and Marketing.
Jamie Hofling, Product Manager, Economics jkhofling@networkkansas.com, (316) 218-6337 Jamie started as a part-time counselor at NetWork Kansas and was instrumental in launching the organization. As product manager of economics, she is in charge of the economic programs of StartUp Kansas. She graduated magna cum laude from WichitaStateUniversity in May of 2007 with a BA in International Studies; Business Administration and a minor in Spanish. Jamie’s passion for international relations stems from her experience working abroad in Germany and studying abroad in Uruguay. Her interests are in sustainable development and rural community development.
